If you’ve been thinking of learning to sail, 2021 might just be the year.
Going afloat is the perfect stress-buster, and you’ll learn new skills to make the most of our beautiful local area. Even if the virus is long behind us next year, sailing is a great way to slow down and just enjoy what’s around us. Or, if you’re more of a speed demon, go blasting around on the river…
There’s now a plan in place for a full programme of training for our members in 2021 which includes activities for adults and children. This includes monthly sail training, RYA Level 1 and Level 2 courses, Cadet Week and for the more experienced sailors, Assistant Instructor and Dinghy Instructor courses.
Total beginners (or very rusty sailors!) will benefit from an RYA Level 1 course, topped up with regular sail training. If you have a recent season or two of sailing under your belt, sail training and an RYA Level 2 course will be perfect to hone your skills. Cadet Week is of course open to adults, with a strong Turtle fleet.
If you’re not sure what’s right for you, or would like more information, have a chat with one of us or email training@marconi-sc.org.uk and we’ll point you in the right direction.
See you on the water!
