Cadet Week
Marconi Sailing Club’s Cadet Week, apart from being the most fun you will ever have, is a week long opportunity to sail and learn every day. As the name might suggest in was originally aimed at the youngsters in the club (cadets) but has been expanded to include an adults group – rumour has it this group have even more fun that the kids.
Cadet week is a magical time at Marconi Sailing Club with a massive number of boats coming and going as the various sailing groups leave and return to the hard. Close watch is kept from our fleet of safety craft all managed and coordinated by a very experienced shore team.

Our annual Cadet Week provides fun sail training for young club members up to the age of 18. We also provide sail training for adults who are new to sailing or are in need of a confidence boost!
The week includes sailing tuition, a long distance race with a picnic, water games, social events, a grand prize giving and a Cadet Regatta on the final Saturday.
With beautiful sunsets guaranteed.
The week is run by volunteers – and everyone is very welcome to join in.
If you want to camp during Cadet Week – please watch Navigans to register for camping early in the year – places fill up very quickly so return your form immediately to ensure you get a camping place.
A separate registration for Cadet Week is usually issued around April/May. Early registration is appreciated.
