On 8th May 1945, the guns fell silent across Europe. Victory in Europe Day marked the end of six long years of conflict, sacrifice, and endurance. On this day, we remember the courage of those who fought, the resilience of those who waited, and the lives of those who were lost.
Eighty years on, we honour their legacy. We pause not only to reflect on the cost of peace, but to reaffirm our commitment to a future shaped by unity, freedom, and hope.
We remember. We thank. We will not forget.
