A Trip to Texel Maya and Daniel Sturm took their Nacra Formula 18 catamaran to the 44th edition of the “Ronde om Texel” on the 10th of June 2023. The conditions for the Ronde om Texel were near perfect this year with brilliant sunshine and not too much of the dreaded surf on the beach. The wind was a bit more than forecast with 15-20 knots from a north-easterly direction. Burnham and Brightlingsea Rowing Report The last two gig events of the season took place in Burnham and Brightlingsea on consecutive weekends. On Sunday 5th March Elettra travelled the short distance to the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club for Round 10 of the Harker’s Yard Gig Series. It was an extremely cold, grey day but only a gentle breeze. Rowing Report Any members who were at the club on Sunday experienced the spectacle that is a Harker’s Yard gig event. What was really impressive though was the support given by all other fleets in the club to the Rowing Fleet, from rescue boat crew to launching and recovery teams, to tea, cake and raffle sales people and photographers; a truly inclusive event bringing the club together in the winter and showcasing what a great club we are!
