The Harkers Yard Gig Association winter series concluded with a final event at Brightlingsea on Sunday 16th March. A series of ten regattas held at locations across the Rivers Stour, Blackwater, Colne and Crouch have showcased around twenty gigs competing in Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Races at each event.
Marconi has participated in the series and in all three categories with our gig Elettra and our band of rowers, including colleagues from other rowing clubs. Marconi also hosted a very successful Round 4 event in November where we showcased our wonderful club and sailing / rowing waters.
The Harkers Yard Series will return again in October but we also hope to have Elettra out across the summer on a more informal basis. We are always looking for new rowers to join the team, so come along and join us!
