The club’s AGM and Prizegiving gave the usual annual opportunity to reflect on the key club activity for the year across the club management, site, equipment and the wide range of water based activity enjoyed by our members: rowing, windsurfing, cruiser racing, cruiser cruises, keelboats, cat and dinghy racing, cat and dinghy cruising, RYA training, sail training and events such as Cadet Week and East Coast Piers Race.
Following the AGM, our annual prizegiving celebrated the winners of the cat and dinghy racing activities across the year. These include the Spring, Summer Morning, Summer Afternoon, Autumn, Bank Holiday and Wednesday Night Series – alongside the one off longer distance races. Sailing Secretary, Dan Bard ran the proceedings, ably supported by Sally Wilson who had again curated all the trophies and engraving for another year.
Congratulations to all our winners and to everyone who took part in club racing during the course of the year. And, of course, a big thank you to everyone who crewed the safety boats or ran the race box across the season. Dinghy and Cat racing starts up again on Sunday 23rd March 2025 – see you there!
