The Cruiser Spring Series continues on the 4th and 5th June when we welcome cruisers to join us from other clubs.
As this is a midday high water weekend, it should be easier for boats from the up river clubs to join us and we’ve set a 12 noon start to enable the visiting race fleet from the Colne YC, time to join us on the flood tide. We will of course have a short postponement if needed.
You can find the Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions here.
And the Course Card here.
If you intend to race and you are joining us from another club, please be sure to inform us in advance of the event so that we can ensure you have a BCOSS handicap number. We have moorings available for visiting boats, and we’ll be running a trot service to lift you ashore after racing and return you at the end of the evening.
If the weather is nice, then we’ll provide a fully catered BBQ with veggie options. No need to bring your own provisions. Otherwise our caterers will be doing a Lasagne meal. We have Real Ale on cask as well as our normal bar service.
Please be sure to provide us with an indication of the numbers of crew that will be joining us for the evening meal so that we have sufficient food ordered to cater for everyone.
Again trot boats on Sunday morning for breakfast in the galley.
The Sunday race start, will see the Colne fleet back across the estuary, whilst the Blackwater up river fleet will split from the course to complete their own marks with a finish at Marconi line.
Contact Peter Ward with your crew numbers prior to the event.
