Weather and Tides
Weather conditions are pretty kind on the River Blackwater we often have a micro climate and miss most of the worst weather in the area.
Winds generally are from the west or southwest but when the wind is north easterly or easterly it can get choppy particularly when wind over tide prevails.
The river between Osea Island and the club is about half a mile wide causing the tidal flow to be quite strong at times, so great care should be taken particularly when using a tender. Near High Water there often is a back eddy which when launching boats should be noted.
