This sunday sees the last of the Autumn Series races for cruisers and on a double points race either Blue Moon or Crazy Suzy on local handicap are set to do battle for the series win.
Equally competitive is the race for 3rd place between Monkey Business and Ned Kelly and we all eagerly await the outcome of that one.
After the race we’ll be presenting the prizes for the Autumn Series, which will be followed by a meeting to discuss the planning of the 2017 season.
Please make sure that your crews are on the hard ready to be delivered to their boats by ribs at 0930 hours.
It’s a low water weekend but with a forecast of a wind from the East we should be able to get a few windward, leeward loops into the course.
This Sunday the Stone dinghies are likely to be sailing in an area close to Thirslet, so make sure your crews are keeping a look out for them and give them plenty of room at their marks.
The Cruiser Race Officer will be afloat on Monkey Business and will start the race using VHF72
All boats are required to call the R.O. on VHF72 registering their intention to race from 1030.
The Race will start at 1050.
There will be a 10 minute warning followed by a 5, 4, 1, GO sound signal on VHF72
NOTE: Please be patient when waiting for the ribs to lift you off after the race. Their main priority is to ensure the dinghy sailors are provided with safety cover, so they’ll only lift us off if they think it’s safe to do so.
The R.O. will select one of the following courses. Follow the links to download the course cards.
