Barts Bash Cancelled Due to Weather Due to bad weather and the complexity or organising several different clubs safety fleets the only sensible decision available has been taken and the BJRC Barts Bash event on Sunday has now been cancelled. We have also taken the view that with the weather set to worsen in the afternoon the points racing scheduled for the afternoon is also cancelled. As there will be very few people at the club on Sunday Tina & Greg are taking a well deserved rest and the galley will now not be open.

Marconi SC Gig Rowing Race CANCELLED. Unfortunately the weather forecast for this Sunday 7th January has forced the cancellation of our Gig Rowing Race. The rowing gigs are fragile craft and the wind strength and particularly the direction makes launching and recovering these boats a hazardous proposition on Sunday. We don’t want any damaged boats or damaged people, regrettably the smart call is to cancel the event. Many thanks to all those people who had volunteered to help us put on this event, your offer of help was and is very much appreciated.
