2006 Byte Open - 13th / 14th May

Marconi Sailing Club is delighted to welcome back the UK Byte Association members  for the first of their Traveller’s series, after a successful National Championships held here last year.

We are once again hoping to provide a weekend of good racing and good on shore hospitality. Owners of Bytes with either the Standard rig or the CII rig are welcome to enter. We plan to run six races over two days (five to count).

The programme for the weekend will be as follows (approximate times, subject to alteration):

High tide will be at 13.40 on Saturday and 14.18 on Sunday.

Programme for the weekend...

SATURDAY
• 09.00 – Registration opens
• 10.00 – Galley open for light lunches/refreshments.
• 11.15 – Briefing of competitors
• 12.00 -  Start of Race One
•  3 races scheduled – format to be decided
• 17.00 – All ashore.
• 17.30 -  Galley closed
• 18.30 – Evening meal will be served in the saloon.(Please pre-order at Race reception during the day)
• 19.00 – Evening entertainment/Bar Open.
• OVERNIGHT CAMPING AVAILABLE

SUNDAY
• 08.30 – Galley open for breakfast
• 10 am - Galley closed.
• 10.15 – Briefing for competitors
• 11.00 – Start of Race four
• 3 races scheduled – format to be decided.
• 11.00 – Galley open for light lunches/refreshments.
• 15.00 – All ashore.
• 16.00 – Prize Giving
• 16.30 -  Galley closed
