Dinghies

The Club sails in the wide tidal estuary of the River Blackwater, with launching and sailing possible at any state of the tide.

There is a large dinghy park where a huge variety of dinghies can be found.

We welcome any type of sailing dinghy - current classes at the club include:

There is an easily operated electric winch so that even the heaviest dayboats can be launched and recovered without herculean effort.

Racing for those who want to takes place on Sundays, bank holiday Mondays and Wednesday evenings. Others prefer to cruise either on their own or as part of our organised dinghy cruises. Whatever your type of sailing - you'll find a ready home here at Marconi.
