A great time was had by all at the inaugural Summer Ball. A marquee had been erected at the side of the clubhouse so revellers could access the bar without going outside. What luxury!
Whilst the weather wasn't particularlt June-like, the warmth of the occasion more than made up for the chilly weather. As you can see from the attached photos, the marquee was heaving and we were joined by members of the Byte fleet who had gathered for the National Championships on the same weekend.
Sally Hitt kindly took formal and informal photos throughout the evening including this shot of some of our younger members.

The usual round of revelry and frolics - but that's enough of the mother boats - at the club too there will be festivities all weekend. Will hardened ECPR regulars manage to find their way to the bar? (new, improved)
The highlight of our social year will be even more fun with the Boreham's drama evening (date tba). if you fancy yourself as Brad, Jennifer or Danny La Rue don't miss this wonderful chance tread the boards. Or the field.
If Mike has managed to repair the damage to the bar from a summer of carousing, the fabulous talent night is back by popular demand. Entrants last year proved that the event's title is half right and that as long as you turn up and have a go you'll be the star of the show. Go on. You know you want to.
Camping combined with live music on Saturday night when the New-Members' evening took place. The new Dell bar was officially opened by the Commodore and the attending crowds (serious!) tried their best to drink it dry.
There was standing room only in the new Dell Bar as members old and new gathered for the New Members Evening. Below: Chris Davies (Commodore) thanks Mike Smith and helpers for all their hard work as he officially opens the new Dell Bar.

Upstairs Shazam took us on a musical journey from the Shadows to Elvis and back via Latchingdon. Wendy and her team of helpers delivered once again an entertaining and sociable evening that saw many happy campers crawling unsteadily back to their caravans, tents and cruisers!

Above: Shazam rock the house while below: the bar is busy

Riverside Country Club for this as Mike will be fixing up the bar at MSC after a season of abuse. The format - glittering dresses and the girls can scrub up too if they want. Prizes galore and dance the night away.
