2009 CRUISER AND CADET FLEET BOWLING EVENING

Bowling Evening – We had a few less bowlers this year with only 23, but nevertheless all those that went enjoyed the evening. Unfortunately due to a computer problem those in lane 7 had inaccurate scores as strikes and spares were not correctly recorded and calculated! This was much to Hilary’s annoyance as she was sure she may have won if it was all working correctly (dream on) It was the night of the success of two new club members Lee Hooper and Ian Martindale who amazingly after two games had the same score of 310! Lets hope that their bowling efforts can also be equally successful when we start to lay moorings! Runner up was John Chisnall with a very respectable 286. Beth Spencer managed very well and managed to get a fair score considering her size compared to the rest of us adults! I heard that a few sore fingers and stiff backs were to be had on Saturday morning. Report by Derek Gardner, Cruiser Fleet Captain
